Hold up! Why is this free?

Yes, magicians should be skeptical! I (Ryan) built this system to manage the websites of my own clubs, the Calgary Magic Circle and I.B.M. Ring 2100. Now that it exists, I'm sharing it with other magic clubs. Simple as that. The paid plan exists to cover the infrastructure cost of sending thousands of email messages.

Can a non-technical person manage a club website?

Yes, the goal is to make things as simple and semi-automatic as possible. It's primarily just a process of filling out forms to enter the information for your events.

Whoah now! This service if focused on making things as simple as possible, which comes with a restrictive one-size-fits-all design strategy. While you can, of course, drop in your own images and text the layout and structure of your site is fixed. This is a paint-by-numbers / get-it-done thing, and if you want to do wildly original work it's best to use a more customizable website builder.

Will my club's website just vanish suddenly?

The free service is offered to the best of my ability, and the hope is to keep it running for many years to come. In the event of a planned shutdown, any paid plans will be honoured to the end of the term.

Is this connected to the I.B.M. or SAM?

This is a wholly independent project built and managed by Ryan. Clubs of any affiliation (or none at all) are welcome to host their website here.
